On Tuesday, July 19, LNER have warned customers not to travel on routes south of York and Leeds, following severe disruption on Monday, July 18.
LNER’s advice covers routes south of York and Leeds, to London Kings Cross, as ‘no train will run’; including journeys to and from Wakefield Westgate, Doncaster, Retford, Lincoln, Newark Northgate, Grantham, Peterborough and Stevenage.
These cancellations of services come after overhead wires between Newcastle and Berwick were damaged on Monday and severe weather warnings were forecast for today, Tuesday, July 19.
